Thanks to our friends at SCOOP Desert-Living Magazine, we learned of a lovely discount to the upcoming Taste of the Nation. Taste of the Nation (in case you didn’t know) is a fundraiser dedicated to helping end childhood hunger. To that end, 30 local chefs will gather and cook up a storm. And you? Well, you eat . . . and very well, too.

Here is a partial list of participating restaurants: Heirloom, Sol y Sombra, Elements at Sanctuary, Sassi, Tapino, Roka Akor, T. Cooks at the Royal Palms . . . you can get a more complete list by clicking right here and then choosing “restaurants.”

The deal: if you buy online, use the special SCOOP coupon code, “Desert” to knock $50 off the general admission price. Don’t wait around for this one.

To take advantage of the deal, buy your tickets right here. Thank you, Desert Magazine.

Where: Taste of the Nation/Arizona will be held at Market Street in DC Ranch, 20751 N. Pima Rd., Scottsdale 85255.

When: Saturday, May 2, 2009. 7:00 PM-10:00 PM.

How much: Tickets are pricey, folks. General admission is $125, but, as mentioned, use the coupon code and knock off $50.
