Estrella Star Viewing Hike

Ok, hikers and stargazers, this is your event. Head out with a ranger tonght on a 3 mile (it’s a loop) jaunt up Toothaker Trail. Now why would I do that, you ask. Because it’s a GREAT place to see the stars and planets, star clusters and all that up there. There will be a telescope, too. Steve Demer, star dude, will tell you stories about the stars.

Hike is considered “rugged but not too difficult.”

Bring lots of water and good walking shoes.

Where: Estrella Mountain Regional Park, 14805 W. Vineyeard Ave., Goodyear 85338 (623) 932-3811. Follow signs to Toothaker Trail.

When: Friday, April 24, 2009. 7:00 PM-9:30 PM.

How much: $6/car entrance fee, so pack ‘em in and save.
