This one looks interesting: you may know that SMoCA (Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art) currently features an exhibit called Seriously Funny (we love it anytime someone can be serious about humor . . . or is it funny about being serious?) Well, one of the artists, Martin Kersals, will be around to tell us about his work . . . and likely entertain us as well. It’s sort of a lecture, but it’s also a musicale. I’m expecting fun.
Added Bonus: Did you know that SMoCA gives FREE docent-led tours of the museum on Thursdays at 1:30? Yep, they do.
Where: The Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art is located at 7374 East Second Street, Scottsdale, AZ 85251 480-874-4666.
When: The exhibition is so popular it’s been held over until July 5, 2009. Martin Kersals will put on his show on Thursday, April 23, 2009 at 6:30 PM.
How much: The show is FREE. (And did you know that Thursday is FREE day at SMoCA? Yep, all day you get in FREE.)
