This Saturday evening, come on out to Estrella Mountain Regional Park for Bat Night in the Park.

You will learn all about our little nighttime friends. They are sweet and adorable, not scary at all! You definitely want them around your house. Park rangers will demystify this wonderful creature with a talk in the air-conditioned Nature Center. Then you and the others will walk out in the park and see if you can find some and listen in on their echo location signals with a special device.

The kids will love this program and you will change your mind about bats.

  • Where: Estrella Mountain Regional Park, 14805 W. Vineyeard Ave., Goodyear 85338 (623) 932-3811. Follow signs to the Nature Center.
  • When: Saturday, July 31, 2010, from 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM
  • How much: $6/car entrance fee, so pack ‘em in and save.
