Did you know the desert provides a veritable feast–if you know where to look. Head over to Estrella Mountain Regional Park for a stroller-accessible .5 mile amble on Gila Trail to learn more. Kids very welcome.

Extra bonus: you’ll be able to try some of these tasty desert edibles. Even kids like this!

Where: Estrella Mountain Regional Park, 14805 W. Vineyeard Ave., Goodyear 85338 (623) 932-3811. Follow signs to the trail on the south side of the turf area.

When: Saturday, May 16, 2009. 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM.

How much: $6/car entrance fee, so pack ‘em in and save.
