Phoenix Zoo
Visit the Phoenix Zoo at Papago Park (Galvin Parkway, south of McDowell Road in Phoenix).
Aside from animal encounters with monkeys, giraffes, lions, camels, and goats, to name a few of the 1,400 or so animals on-site, families can take kids on pedal boats and ride the safari train or carousel. Additional charges apply for these activities.
Experience the wonder of 4-D at the Phoenix Zoo’s new 4-D Theater. Its the first of its kind in the Valley! Each show is different and will make you feel like its all real, you are there utilizing smells, water, wind, and other various in-theater effects. Additional fees apply.
Check out the daily activities the Zoo has to offer. From Animal shows every Thursday – Sunday at 10:30 a.m., Noon and 1:30 p.m. to Daily Creature Features. But don’t forget to bring water and wear your hats and sunscreen to protect yourself from the sun and heat.
