Whether you’re getting ideas for creating your next quilt, you’re interested in the historical value of one, or you love great art, the Gilbert Historical Museum’s 19th Annual Art of Quilting Show is just what you need.
The Show includes a special exhibit from the American Quilt Study Group, which will feature quilts from the collection, 19th Century Blues; More Than Just Indigo. The Art of Quilting show runs from February 27 – May 28, 2024. Show admission is included in the price of museum admission.
Museum Admission fees are Adults: $6; Seniors: (ages 60 and above) $5; Youth: $3 (ages 5 through 12); and children under 5 are free.
The Gilbert Historical Museum is located in the historical HD South building, located at 10 S. Gilbert Rd., Gilbert, 85296 and is open Tuesday – Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
HD South, Historical Building
HD South is the home of the Gilbert Historical Museum, which is located in the south end of Gilbert’s heritage district. Originally opened as Gilbert Elementary School in 1913, the Gilbert Historical Museum is the oldest building still standing in Gilbert and is the only one on the National Register of Historic Places.
The Gilbert Historical Museum is a repository of artifacts chronicling the town’s rich history, featuring newly remodeled exhibits and interactive displays.
