It’s time to think about something special for Mom!  Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 12, 2024.  Treat that special person in your life, who’s nurtured you through triumphs and tragedies, to something very special and uniquely from you.

Mom certainly understands operating on a budget, so she’ll have no problem with you suggesting some of the events and deals listed below.

Historic Glendale’s 17th Annual Mother’s Day Celebration

On Saturday, May 11, enjoy a pleasing and relaxing celebration with Mom by perusing Historic Glendale’s downtown area.  Take Mom to her favorite delicious local restaurant and have her pick out a distinctive gift at a specialty shop or boutique.

While this celebration is FREE, donations Event attendees are encouraged to bring new or gently read books to donate for the Glendale Public Libraries to the Arizona Information Center.

Find the Arizona Information Center at 5836 West Palmaire Avenue, Glendale, 85301 (including Catlin Court and Old Town).

The Celebration begins at 10 a.m. and ends around 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 11.

4th Annual Mompalozza at the Arizona Boardwalk

On Saturday, May 11, join Family Fun Arizona for the FREE 3rd Annual MOMPALOOZA Festival inside The Arizona Boardwalk. The kiddos can enjoy live entertainment and games on center stage, play on bounce houses/slides and obstacle courses, get their face painted, and enter a coloring contest while Mom relaxes.

Moms can enjoy spring shopping from dozens of local vendors, chair massages, and win prizes in the Family Fun Arizona Prize Drawing.

This is a FREE family event, but if you REGISTER HERE for a FREE ticket, bring it with you to the festival, you’ll be entered into the Family Fun Arizona Giveaway Drawings.

You could win a number of prizes from Local Attraction Tickets, a Family Staycation, Restaurant Gift Cards and more. One entry per family. Additional raffle tickets can be purchased at the door (10 for $5.00).

The Arizona Boardwalk is located at 9500 East Vía de Ventura, Scottsdale, 85256. While in the area, treat Mom to Butterfly Wonderland and OdySea Aquarium.

Momapalooza is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 11.

Celebrate everything local that is Mom at the 6th Annual Mama’s Makers Market.

Shop Saturday, May 11, 2024 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Just before Mother’s Day on Sunday. There’s FREE admission to Mama’s Makers Market

At Mama’s Makers Market you’ll find 100+ local artisans offering handmade goods. Choose from beautiful art, clothing, and jewelry. How about something for the home? The Market has locally made furniture and home decor. Don’t miss the variety of health and beauty products too.
