Its that time of year again. The Festival we wait for all year.
Experience 30-acre village, 14 stages, arts and crafts, jousting tournaments and feasting all rolled up into one long day.
Dressing up and going Medival may sound strange, even odd. Like who does that? But once you have joined the fun and excitement, you will want to do it every year.
Food: Let’s talk about the food. Go with an empty stomach. There is tons of great food, and since the Food Truck craze, they seem to have found their way into the fair. Leave the silverware at home, everything is eaten with your fingers only.
Entertainment: There’s lots of it. From Hatchet throwing to fire-eating to Jousting. Yep jousting in full armor both men and women. The plays and comedy shows, to the great music, well everywhere.
History: Tons of people there will show you the way. Blacksmithing, weaving, belly dancing, or archery. You can pick up a few tips or just shop for supplies. A really good Renaissance fair will have several stations where you can try these skills hands-on and learn life in the Middle Ages. Kids, in particular, can have a great day at a Ren fair.
Shopping: Yes you can get some amazing things at the fair. There is everything from local honey, paper, and leather products and the list goes on.
