Science, technology, engineering, and math are all around us, and they’re fascinating. Look at the device you’re reading this on, and thank STEM.
The AZ SciTech Festival is Arizona’s annual statewide celebration of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). The festival includes events like air fairs, maker fairs, and hands-on sustainability days. There are even opportunities to get behind the scenes in the labs at Arizona State University (#1 in Innovation). There is something to appeal to kids, adults, educators, scientists, artists, and you.
Arizonans of all ages will be able to do all of this and much more at the 2020 Arizona SciTech Festival, the state’s annual celebration of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM), from Jan. 25 through April 30, 2020.
Now in its ninth year, the SciTech Festival isn’t a single-day event. It is the country’s third-largest science festival with more than 800 organizations partnering to present more than 2,300 events throughout the year.
Started by the Arizona Commerce Authority, Arizona Science Center, SciTech Institute, Arizona Board of Regents, The University of Arizona and Arizona State University, the Arizona SciTech Festival is a wildly successful grassroots collaboration.
The festival offers abundant opportunities for kids, teens and adults to explore STEM across the state through interactive events, workshops, exhibitions, displays, lectures, and tours. Best of all, most SciTech events are free!
Here is just a sampling of the events coming up. Many more great events coming up in the next few months. Remember the SciTech Festival lasts until April 30. for more info, check dates and times on their website.
