CHANDLER, Ariz. — Starting Sunday, May 24 through June 1, the City of Chandler will light up the Downtown Chandler Historic Square to honor high school graduates from the Class of 2020. The Square will be lit from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. every day, changing colors to represent the nine high schools in Chandler.
The schedule is as follows:
- Sunday, May 24: Arizona College Prep-Erie Campus (purple)
- Monday, May 25: Basha High (green and gold)
- Tuesday, May 26: Casteel High (navy blue and gold)
- Wednesday, May 27: Chandler Early College (green)
- Thursday, May 28: Chandler High (blue and white)
- Friday, May 29: Chandler Online Academy (light blue)
- Saturday, May 30: Chief Hill Academy (blue and yellow)
- Sunday, May 31: Hamilton High (maroon and silver)
- Monday, June 1: Perry High (navy blue and cardinal red)
“These high school graduates have persevered through a senior year without their classmates, teachers and typical high school experiences,” said Chandler Mayor Kevin Hartke. “As Mayor, I’m proud of their resiliency and for embracing their new reality in stride. This gesture is a way for the City to honor their achievements. On behalf of the City Council, we wish them success as they continue to their next chapter.”
