From February 7 to 9, 2020, celebrate with Chinese Week festivities.
PHOENIX CHINESE WEEK 2020 is a series of cultural, social, and educational events highlighting the diverse heritage of an ancient culture with 5,000 years of history. Now in its 30th year, everyone is welcome to attend and participate in the many festive and enriching activities. Phoenix Chinese Week is highlighted by a three-day Culture and Cuisine Festival the first weekend.
It features a Children’s Pavilion, Food Pavilion, Beer Garden and concluding with a Chinese New Year Banquet on Saturday, Feb. 15 . It also includes the Chinese Cultural Village, Chinese Culture and History Booth:
The week-long festivities will be at Margaret T. Hance Park. Some events and exhibits include:
- Chen Baosheng photography exhibit
- Photo exhibit and student art displays
- Chinese costume photo booth
- Mahjong booth
- Special Koi fish exhibit
- Table tennis open
- Taiji tournament
- WeiQi/Go open
- Taipei Dragon Boat display

Grand Opening
The Phoenix Chinese Week Committee along with Phoenix Sister Cities, Inc., the Phoenix Sister Cities Taipei and Chengdu Committees, officials, and dignitaries will kick off the Phoenix Chinese Week 2020 Culture and Cuisine Festival. The ceremonies will feature traditional performances and entertainment.

Phoenix Chinese Week 2020 Culture and Cuisine Festival
Experience the sights, sounds, and tastes of the 29th annual Phoenix Chinese Week’s Culture and Cuisine Festival. Enjoy continuous entertainment including the lion dance, martial arts demonstrations, folk and traditional dances, musical performances and taste delicious Chinese food.

Children’s Pavilion
The Children’s Pavilion provides free children’s cultural projects. Demonstrations of Chinese calligraphy with translating English names into Chinese, paper folding, folk art, paper cutting, and other arts and crafts. Children of all ages can enjoy the cultural and fun hands-on activities.

Tea Garden – Chinese Tea Ceremony
Learn about the Chinese tea culture through tea ceremony demonstration, protocol of preparing & serving tea, equipment displays and the history of the tea tradition. Presented by the Federation of Tea Ceremony Masters Phoenix Chapter.
