“Dial up your independence at the Abilities Expo!”
This invitation pops-up as you access the website for this FREE event coming up in early September, which offers eye-catching displays of new assistive technology and handy new gadgets for the disability community. There’s more! Attendees can also participate in sports at their ability level and enjoy inclusive dance performances at the Abilities Expo.
The Abilities Expo will take place at WestWorld of Scottsdale, the weekend of September 6 – 8, 2024. Times vary a bit per day:
11 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday
11 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Sunday
Participants with needs in ambulatory assistive devices and their loved ones will be delighted at the energy and scope this showcase has to offer. Workshop topics like realistically making homes accessible and establishing relationships with service dogs, along with thrilling demonstrations on adapted fitness will be offered.
Best yet, on Sunday, the workshop, “Discover How to Pay for Everything You See Today” is scheduled from 11:45 – 12:45 p.m.

The Abilities Expo practices what they preach – loaner scooters, sign language interpretation, free wheelchairs, and captioning services for the workshops to help attendees gain access to more of what they need.

Parking and Access to Westworld
Two entrances are open. The main entrance is located just north of Frank Lloyd Wright on the north bound access road of SR-101. The north entrance is at 94th Street and Bell Road.
