What is the Diwali Festival of Lights?
The Diwali Festival of Lights gets its name from a row of clay lamps that the people of India light outside their homes to symbolize the inner light that protects from spiritual darkness. Diwali is one of the most popular festivals of Hinduism, symbolizing the spiritual “victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance.”
Experience a cultural explosion of authentic Indian food, lively performances by local dance groups, community groups, and individuals. Cultural merchandise will be for sale, as well as crafts and informational booths will be available.
