The Children’s Museum of Phoenix is celebrating Juneteenth this week with some super-fun crafting activities.
The Children’s Museum of Phoenix is known for its building, climbing, creating, growing, and performing experiences for children, age birth to 10. Even more fun and educational this week: two exciting activities planned to celebrate Juneteenth.
- All this week, in the Art Studio, create Juneteenth Mosaic Flags. Learn about the flags used to celebrate this holiday and make your own out of recyclables, Monday, June 17 – Sunday, June 23, during museum hours, 9 am. – 4 p.m.
- Make your own colorful and festive Juneteenth Confetti Poppers on Wednesday, June 19 from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Both Juneteenth activities are included in the admission price of $17 per person for anyone, age 1 or older.
The Children’s Museum of Phoenix is located at 215 North 7th Street, Phoenix, 85034. Parking is free at the museum. If the museum’s parking lot is full, park at Arizona Center, Civic Plaza East, or Heritage Square parking garages for a fee.
Feel like the kids just need to cool off from such excitement at the Children’s Museum? Of course they can always cool off at the museum’s Foam Zone.
The Children’s Museum of Phoenix participates on First Fridays, when the museum is FREE from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. For details about more free museum days all over the Valley, click here.
