Experience Kid’s Day with the family during the Phoenix Film Festival next week. If you and your family like movies, this is the event for you. And it’s FREE!
This fun-filled free event includes family-friendly hands-on activity stations focusing on different aspects of film production, geared toward all ages and ability levels.
There will be a blockbuster lineup of super cool, film-related activities including a stop-motion animation workshop, a green screen photo booth, a storyboard workshop, a cuddly story time, an acting station, and so much more.

Kid’s Day is on Saturday, April 6, 2024 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Party Pavilion Tent at Harkins Theatres, Scottsdale 101.
Harkins Theatres is at 7000 East Mayo Blvd., Phoenix, 85054
There’s plenty of parking around the theatre. You may have to walk a bit from your parking spot unless you’re lucky and find a spot up close.
Phoenix Film Festival
The Phoenix Film Festival is a yearly event that celebrates local film makers as well as national and international movies. The Film Festival takes place throughout the week of April 4 – 14. Not all movies shown are intended for children. Click here for costs & details about each film.
Family-Friendly Movie Screening
Also on Saturday, April 6 at 9:30 a.m. is the family-friendly movie screening of the animated, Butterfly Tale. According to the website, “Butterfly Tale is an animated feature film for the whole family set along the diverse, picturesque, and ever-changing backdrop of the great Monarch butterfly migration.”
It’s $15 to get into the Movie Screening and it lasts for 85 minutes at Harkins Theatres, Scottsdale 101.
Don’t forget the Kid’s Day activities will be outside under the Party Pavilion Tent and the Phoenix Film Festival along with the Butterfly Tale family movie are inside the theatre. Enjoy it all!
