We all love to be pampered. By today’s standards, it seems everyone has professional services done like facials and massages.
Upkeep is expensive. Let’s just say that out loud. Some of the most expensive services are Massages and facials. Last time I had a massage it was $90 plus tip for an hour. Facials, well it comes in a close second. I paid $75 for a 45-minute facial. So if you had one of each every month, which is reasonable, you would spend approximately $2400 a year just in those two services. OUCH. Forget the hair and nails. I just spent my beauty budget.
I have two answers help you stretch those budget breaker services.
Groupon
You can almost get any service for a fraction of the price through Groupon. Tons of selections and prices and locations, but either way it’s gonna be cheaper.
Downfalls? It may be very pricey to go back at regular price and it may not be conveniently located for you.
Use Student services at your local Beauty College
G Skin and Beauty Institute in Chandler:
Their best student services are facials. You can snag any of their standard facials for $23.00. If you want a bit therapeutic facial, for $31.00 you get a full hour, choose Seaweed, Pumpkin Peel, or Oxygen facial.
Some men’s services are offered as well.
An appointment is required.
This salon offers an array of beauty treatments at a reasonable price. Facials run $20-$30 and for a cut and blow-dry its $10.
An appointment is required.
Facials run $30 and up. I personally love this one as I have visited it many times. It’s a real treat to get to spend an hour with them. And remember no tipping.
An appointment is required.
Southwest Institute for the Healing Arts:
Massages will cost you $35 for an hr, $53 for 90 minutes and $75 for 2 hours. They offer packages as well
Downfalls? Remember you are at a college, these students will be graduating and moving on. You will not be able to have your favorite technician.
In my opinion, grab a friend and try it. Its basically half price of almost anywhere.
