Phoenix Art Museum has been offering complimentary admission one evening every week for more than 20 years in an effort to allow more people to afford to be part of the museum, reducing the economic barriers of the arts. As the Museum’s first and longest-running community-access program providing free general admission and programming for all ages and interests, the Museum’s Wednesday complimentary-admission program, now known as Pay-What-You-Wish Wednesday, has welcomed nearly 1 million people to the Museum over the past two decades.
During Pay-What-You-Wish Wednesday, special-engagement exhibitions are not included and require an $8 adult or $5 youth ticket for entrance.
