Agave Library – Adventure, Fantasy, Sci-Fi
“When Worlds Collide” features fantasy and science fiction fun for all ages at Agave Library on Saturday, March 23, from 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.
Learn from local authors how to build worlds and fantasy creatures. Don’t forget to dress for the Cosplay Parade and more. Here’s the schedule:
9:30 a.m. – Crews, Parties, and Teams: Assembling Your Cast
11:00 a.m. – Mars: Person, Planet, Problem: History and Science in World Building
1:30 p.m. – It’s Alive!: Creating and Designing Aliens, Monsters and Fantasy Creatures
2:30 p.m. – Going Rogue: Stealing From Every Genre (I DO WHAT I WANT)
3:45 p.m. – Cosplay Parade
Activities include scavenger hunts for fantasy creatures and aliens, fairy doors-portals, D&D character sheets, and astrology charting

Desert Broom Library – Poetry, Romance, Songwriting
“Pop Goes My Heart!” takes all to a world of love and romance complete with musicians and poetry at Desert Broom Library on Saturday, March 30, from 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.
Hear from local authors, poets, and songwriters about how they move from inspirational ideas to actual music and lyrics. Here’s the schedule:

11:00 a.m. – Putting Yourself Out There
1:30 p.m. – Marrying Genres: Romance Blooms
2:30 p.m. – Love is Love: Breaking Stereotypes in Romance Fiction
3:45 p.m. – Poetry/ Open Mic
Activities include scavenger hunt for flowers, ukulele craft, paper fans & fan language, and paper quills.

South Mountain Community Library – Comics, Manga
“We Could Be Heroes” invites participants to be their favorite hero on Saturday, April 6 from 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. at South Mountain Community Library. Yes, capes are allowed.
Comic creation and publishing panels will share multiple ideas. The heroes Cosplay Showcase can’t be missed. Here’s the schedule:

11:00 a.m. – We’ve Got You Covered! Publishing
1:30 p.m. – Represent! Diverse Characters & Settings
2:30 p.m. – East to West, Left to Right: The Direction of Comics
3:45 p.m. – Cosplay Showcase
Activities include scavenger hunt for super heroes/villains, masks, graphic novel roses, and pomegranate boxes.

Cholla Library – Horror, Mystery, True Crime
“Somebody’s Watching Me” is for the paranoid and the paranormal enthusiast converging on Saturday, April 13 from 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. at Cholla Library.
Hear from authors involved in ghostbusting as well as masters of the whodunit. Panels include how to become a detective, puzzle solving, and monster hunting. Here’s the schedule:
9:30 a.m. – Truth is Stranger Than Fiction
11:00 a.m. – It’s Not All Murder: Cozy Up For A Good Time
1:30 p.m. – Ghostbusting: Finding the Paranormal
2:30 p.m. – Scare the Pants Off Them: Writing Suspense and Horror
3:45 p.m. – Ghost Stories
Activities include scavenger hunt for Cryptids, puzzle solving, clay finger pencil toppers, and paper haunted house.

Learn cosplay tips from local masters at Burton Barr Central Library on April 20 at Maker Day in the MACH1 center.
Teens can show off royal Geek attire at PromiCon at Burton Barr’s Pulliam Auditorium on April 27.
