Here’s your chance to watch hundreds of talented high school athletes from around the country compete in a basketball camp this week.
The 2022 installment of the Fiesta Bowl Section 7, presented by the Legacy Foundation, is June 16 to 19 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale. And more than 500 college coaches will be on hand taking notes.
General admission is FREE.
The State Farm Stadium is at 1 Cardinals Dr, Glendale, AZ 85305
You can view the schedule for the four days of games by downloading the Arizona Basketball Coaches Association app here.
“Section Seven exists to amplify the value of high school basketball and the continued benefits of
scholastic athletics,” Matt King, executive director of the Arizona Basketball Coaches Association, said in a statement.
“Rising door fees in youth basketball are a major problem and our goal has always been to build a sustainable model, alongside a team of community stakeholders, that alleviates financial burden on families,” King said. “Making general admission free will allow thousands more friends, families, and basketball fans the opportunity to get out of heat, have some fun, and watch the best high school teams on the West Coast in front of hundreds of college coaches.”
Section Seven is a part of the June Scholastic Events that are sanctioned by the National Federation of High Schools (NFHS) and the NCAA, organizers say.
Because this event is sponsored by the Arizona Interscholastic Association (AIA) and run by the Arizona Basketball Coaches Association (ABCA), the event is open to Division I coaches to attend.
More than 200 teams from 12 states in the Western United States are expected to participate, including 70 from the state of Arizona. Alongside playing games, all players and coaches will participate in an educational component at the event.
