Christmas Day is so festive, but busy. If you prefer to hang out, play games and simply enjoy some family fun, here is a list of open restaurants on Christmas. Grab the kids, you don’t have to cook!
Denny’s: Christmas is actually the diner chain’s busiest day of the year. Serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner all 24-hours of Christmas Day.
IHOP: Open all day (24-hours restaurants will keep to schedule, hours may vary at other locations). Call your local restaurant for details.
McDonald’s: Some participating locations are open. Call ahead to confirm.
Starbucks: Most stand-alone locations are open.
Village Inn: Some locations will be open all day (though hours may vary by location), but check with your local franchise. Be sure to get a slice of holiday pie.
The family will love you Christmas morning if you treat everyone to a box full of yummy doughnuts for breakfast! Store hours vary by location, so check with your local Dunkin’ Donuts before heading out.
We love pizza, and we love Christmas. Some Domino’s Pizza locations will be open on December 25, so this is an easy, option you won’t even have to leave home to get.
Though most of Sonic Drive-Ins are franchised and therefore do not have a set holiday schedule, most locations are open for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years.
Just wing it with a non-traditional holiday feast at participating Buffalo Wild Wings. Make sure they are open as only some are.
With any of the restaurants listed, call before you go. After all, its Christmas and hours may vary depending on location.

Sorry Sadie, trying to keep it cheap, maybe too cheap. If I come across some deals from upscale restaurants, I’ll post them. Thanks for reaching out – Sharon, Phoenix on the Cheap.
