Do you like to party on New Year’s Eve? How about celebrating at a local resort or casino? With that there usually comes a high price tag. Phoenix on the Cheap thinks there are many things you can do to ring in the new year without breaking the bank. Here’s our list–
Block Party
A Block Party is a great way to get the neighborhood together. Start with a BBQ, have every family bring something to share. Bring the firepit, roast marshmallows, make smores.
There may be fireworks visible from your neighborhood, be sure to check. Take a walk down the block and admire everyone’s Christmas lights. It’s a safe fun way to bring in the New Year.
Game Night With Friends
Did someone say games? Who doesn’t love game night. How about a murder mystery. Something you can plan ahead, it costs close to nothing if you get ideas on the internet. Make up your own.
Prefer poker? Get the poker chips, I see a casino theme in your future. Have guests come ready to play poker, and bring something themed along with a dish to share and a bottle of their favorite bubbly.
Scavenger Hunt
Have family and guests find all things having to do with the new year. Here is a Pinterest idea. It may surprise you how many people are home on New Years. Make some new friends around your neighborhood too.
Binge on Favorite Movies
All the favorites from 2023: Barbie, Oppenheimer, & much more.
Pop the popcorn, get in comfy flannels, light the fireplace and candles. Make a pot of chili and it’s a cozy night in.
I think you get the idea. Be creative, have fun and just know you don’t have to spend a lot of money to make it a great New Year’s Eve.
