Have you noticed? There’s an extra day in February this year. Thursday, February 29, 2024 makes it a Leap Year. So celebrate this year with unique crafting for this out of the ordinary day.
The whole family can use their creativity and celebrate Leap Day by DIYing a cute frog with easy craft materials like cups, pipe cleaners, and pom poms.
Thursday Maker Hour: Leap Day Frogs, takes place at Burton Barr Central Library in the MACH1 room located on the 4th floor. This program is on a walk-in basis for children of all ages and their families. There’s no pre-registration required.
On Thursday, February 29, 2024 the fun begins at 4:00 p.m. and goes to 5:30 p.m. Burton Barr Central Library is located at 1221 North Central Avenue, Phoenix, 85004.
Best of all, it’s absolutely FREE.
More good news – there’s plenty of free parking at the library. Hint: to avoid the busy intersection of McDowell Road and Central Avenue, take 3rd Street south of McDowell and turn west on Willetta and you’ll end up right in the library’s parking lot.
