The Holiday of Love is just two weeks away. Valentines Day means different things to different people. From the cute Valentine cards given as a child to elaborate gifts meant to entice a lover, and all points in between. The Dolly Steamboat Cruise
Choose this one when romance is in the air. The Twilight Dinner Cruise aboard the Dolly Steamboat is a delectable dinner cruise on Canyon Lake. Trips run year-round; however, the twilight cruise on Valentine’s Day features a special menu and a romantic ambiance along with the two-hour astronomy and dinner cruise. For details, click here.

2nd Friday Night Out
Swingin’ Sweethearts on Main Street in Mesa. Music, dancing, art, food trucks, it’s all here on Friday, February 8 from 6 – 9 pm. Kid and dog friendly, so bring the family and the lawn chairs. A popular movie will play on the lawn. It’s FREE.
Glendale Chocolate Affaire
You and your partner will love this. The Glendale Chocolate Affaire features selections of chocolatiers, confectioners, wine tasting and pairings, food demonstrations, live music and family-friendly interactive experiences. Enjoy this festival, February 18 – 19 at Glendale Civic Center, from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Lovers x Haters: Valentine’s Day @ Phx Art Museum
On February 14, Phoenix Art Museum will be open from 5 – 7 p.m. for Valentine’s Day with special programming in the Lovers x Haters lounge in the Great Hall. Experience some provocative art, music, craft cocktails, and more. Price is included with general admission.
Renaissance & Romance at the Arizona Renaissance Festival
Try historical romance with a feast served by the characters of the Renaissance Festival planned for the weekend of February 10 & 11 at the 36th Annual Arizona Renaissance Festival in Gold Canyon. The meal includes five courses and some to die for entertainment.

Pet Adoptions

What’s Included in the adoption?
Along with your new ‘fur-ever’ friend, animals from shelters are given:
- 4-in-1 vaccination (distemper, hepatitis, parvo virus, and parinfluenza)
- Bordatella vaccination
- flea/tick treatment
- Animals ages 3 months of age and older also receive a rabies vaccination and county license/tag as part of their adoption fee.
- All animals adopted are spayed or neutered prior to leaving the shelter.
What are the costs?
Puppy and Dog Adoptions
- Five months of age and younger: $300
- Six months of age and older and more than 21 pounds: $50-$150
- Six months of age and older and less than 20 pounds: $75 – $200
- Six years of age and older: $25-$75
- Shelter Super Heroes: Up to $300
Kitten & Cat Adoptions
- Five months of age and younger: $75-$150
- Six months of age to 6 years old: $25-$75
- Senior cats (7 years and older): $25
